Beach Day W/ SLSC
It was a Monday and I woke up with a flood full of text messages from Lucas, Ayvah, and Taipari! We were all so confused It was such a bad day and we weren't sure if the beach day was on! Lucas ended up emailing Miss and we found out it was on! We went in two vans, One van was driven by Lee, the other one by Tanea. When we got there three people were waiting outside the Club, Cassie, Damien, and Lisa! Lisa is actually currently working at our school learning how to be a teacher and teach English!
The first thing we did was a Tour of the club because there were people upstairs doing yoga! Once we did that we went into a little room and learned a couple things! We learned how to do CPR and how to bandage a minor cut! Then we went upstairs to have morning tea, after that we did an AMAZING RACE! We got into 4 small groups and had to complete a series of tasks. One of them was a Marshmello Challenge and I got my hair stuck in my mouth and we had to scrape it out! Then we went outside to do a beach clean up! It was so cold! Everyone went right but I went left because I thought I would get more rubbish! I ended up not getting much but I got drenched! When I got back to the clubhouse everybody was playing around and I was drenched!
When everyone was back from cleaning up we went down to the changing rooms and got into togs. Then we got into the van and headed to the pools and went for a swim, it wasn't planned but Miss decided to go for a swim. It took like 10 minutes for us to be actually aloud into the pool because of Te Horo school had booked it out, but we ended up having a lane for us. We played Volleyball but we kept getting the ball stuck in the other lanes so it ended up getting taken off us. We started doing piggyback relays, running relays and much more! Then some kids from Te Rito came and all the boys knew them! Then we got out of the pool and had a hot shower, got changed and walked out. We ended up walking back to school and spent the last 15 minutes for free time!
